Okay, okay – we know what you’re thinking. Is this actually a real wedding? Or is it just a couple of gorgeous models looking fabulous and palpably in-love on a beach?
Plot twist: it’s both!
Lais, the stunning bride you see gliding across the sand as if it were her own private runway, is a well-known fitness model and lifestyle coach based here in Albuquerque. If she seems at home in picturesque places, it’s probably because she’s used to being flown all over the world for fitness conventions and special appearances!
We’re pretty familiar with her glamorous lifestyle by now too — she’s been a part of the Shayla Cristine Photography family for 2 years. The team first had the pleasure of meeting Lais and Beau for their engagement session, and then we stayed working together ever since! The Shayla Cristine team has photographed Lais for her website, Instagram, and other miscellaneous content, and we have a blast every time.
We’d be remiss if we didn’t give a whole lot of love to her beau, Dr. Beau, too! He’s a well known chiropractor also based here in Albuquerque. You might recognize him from his two offices in town, like the one inside the Jackson Wink MMA School where Holly Holm and Jon Bones train. Or, you might even recognize him from his YouTube fame, as his back-cracking and aligning has garnered quite a bit of fanfare. He also is used to being flown all over the country to crack celebrities, MMA fighters, and even politicians!
But don’t let the celebrity side of this beautiful couple intimidate you, they’re also some of the nicest people we’ve ever met. Lais is incredibly talented and self sufficient – she did her own hair and makeup for their beach elopement wedding! And Beau’s love for Lais is the most recognizable facet of their personalities. She is his queen, and together they’re unstoppable.
With unbelievably photogenic subjects, love radiating, a sunny beach backdrop, and a custom couture wedding gown all wrapped up into one unforgettable day, it’s simply no wonder this wedding was one of our favorites.
