Happy #WeddingWednesday to all the romantics out there! If you’ve been hanging out with us here for a little while now, then you probably saw last week’s featured wedding and know that we’ve been feeling some serious love for New Mexico’s small, intimate weddings as of late.
It’s partially about finding the silver linings hidden in our current world circumstances, and partially just because small, intimate weddings are truly magical to behold. You’d think that, with fewer guests and smaller ceremonies, there would be a bit of the grandeur missing, but it’s actually quite the opposite. Couples, loved ones, and small businesses come together and collaborate on creating a perfect, sacred moment in time just as fiercely for elopements and intimate weddings as the ballroom extravaganzas.
And before you ask, yes we have proof!
For the unforgettable day that was the beginning of Kalene and Conner’s new life together, Red River’s very own wedding planning superstar was called upon. Karen Kelly, with KWK Events, put together a meticulous and gorgeous elopement. With her go-to floral designer on call, KWK Events and Enchanted Florist of Taos embodied the unique, unparalleled love and friendship between the happy couple in their ceremonies.
Kalene and her bridesmaid’s bouquets were bursting with bright purples and pinks, and yet still remained balanced with creams and cool tones of silvery-green eucalyptus. Needless to say, Karen coordinated the gorgeous floral arrangements with precision and flair to ensure they enhanced each moment of the life-changing ceremony.
Nestled in the forest and with the river quietly rushing by, Kalene and Conner’s elopement was — dare we say it — perfection. The Shayla Cristine Photography team was ecstatic and honored to be entrusted with capturing every smile, laugh, and happy tear that fell that day. Thank you, Kalene and Conner!
